Caffeine Water?!, the BEST Spice, and this Week’s Goals

Hello hello! Happy MONDAY! Hope you guys had a great weekend.

Yesterday I woke up around 7:00 (I “slept in”!) and tried this caffeine water drink. It tasted delicious (not too sweet) and gave me the boost I needed to get out the door for a run.

I did five miles along the river (~8:30 min/mile average). It was a gorgeous day in Boston and I couldn’t stop smiling.

I ended my run at a bakery/restaurant and met up with Frankie and his family there. We chatted for a while, then we said our goodbyes and I picked up some Dunks pumpkin coffee.

I was starving by the time I got home so I cooked up two eggs and a ton of veggies. I have days when eggs completely disgust me, and other days when I’m craving them like crazy; yesterday was the latter.

And I used this “Everything but the Bagel” seasoning. SO. GOOD. You need to buy some right now (but it actually made me wish I was eating an actual everything bagel… I’ve been thinking about one since).

Frankie and I chilled and watched TV for a while. It felt really good to just do nothing – we had been running around/entertaining all weekend. I snacked on one of the apples we picked yesterday and also a few unpictured baby carrots.

After a couple hours of hardcore chilling, I made myself get up and go to the grocery store. Our fridge was literally empty so it felt good to restock for the week! I snacked on this Blueberry Cobbler No Cow Bar when I got back.

And around 5:00 I walked to a yoga class downtown. I walked through Boston Common which looked just gorgeous – I love weeping willows!

Yoga was exactly what I needed for my Sunday evening. The class was called “Sunset Chill Flow chill flow”, and it was full of detoxing twists, breath work, a lavender oil massage, candles, and chill music ๐Ÿ™‚ .

When I got home I roasted some butternut squash and red onion drizzled in coconut oil and sprinkled with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. I also spiralized a zucchini and put all of this together in a big bowl (yes, I ate everything you see in this picture haha).

And for dessert I ate two dark chocolate-covered champagne gummy bears that Frankie’s mom got for us ๐Ÿ™‚ . I spent the rest of the night meal prepping for the week, watching the new Kardashian’s ep, and cleaning the apartment. It was the best Sunday and I feel refreshed and ready for a new week. Here are my fitness goals for this week!

  1. Stick exactly to my eating plan each day. No mindless snacking!!
  2. Drink 12 cups of water each day.
  3. Do at least six cardio sessions this week.
  4. Do at least three yoga/strength sessions this week.
  5. Walk at least 10,000 iPhone steps each day.
  6. Sleep 7-8 hours each night.
  7. Think happy thoughts ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Hope you guys have a marvelous Monday!

Do you like to spiralize your veggies? What do you usually spiralize?ย Zucchini is my fav! So easy, too.

Tell me one or two of YOUR goals!

Happy Monday guys! I don’t know about you but I am SO ready for a new week/fresh start. Last week was long, unhealthy, and stressful. I am definitely ready to crush some new goals, which I’ll talk about at the end of this post.

Fletcher woke me up bright and early yesterday so I fed him and took him on a walk around the neighborhood. By the time we got back, Frankie was just waking up, so we chilled for a bit then headed to a 60-minute spin class at a studio near my mom’s house. It was SO much fun and the playlist was incredible.

We picked up some Dunkin pumpkin coffees after class.

And then we stopped by my dad’s house (my parents are divorced so he lives in the town next to my mom, where I grew up). He was out of town so he wanted me to pick his ripe tomatoes ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Took these babies home for salads this week!

Then we picked up Fletcher and took him to a nearby baseball field for some fetch. He is a strange golden retriever – he doesn’t really “retrieve”. Rather, he’ll go get the ball and then try his hardest to make sure you can’t get it back.

He’ll also just sit there trying with all his might to tear up the ball.

After he was tuckered out, we drove home, took showers, and had breakfast. I had a bowl of GOLEAN cereal with almond milk, heated up in the microwave for 30 seconds ๐Ÿ™‚ .

And soon after I had a Black Cherry Chobani with a banana.

We spent the afternoon watching “Friends” and wedding planning. We took a break to grab some pumpkin spice coffee from Bruegger’s (so good)…

…and to get a car wash. Who knew car washes are $20 now?!? (And please excuse our dusty dashboard.)

When we got home I snacked on a Fudge Graham Zone Bar.

And I had too many handfuls of banana chips, pistachios, cashew clusters, and spoonfuls of Justin’s maple almond butter. My mom always has the best snacks and I definitely snacked way too much throughout the weekend ๐Ÿ˜ฆ .

For dinner we picked up B.GOOD. I got their Spicy Avocado & Lime bowl withย kale, sautรฉed veggies, avocado, black bean and corn salsa, grape tomato, queso fresco, lime, cilantro, chipotle puree, red pepper vinaigrette. We also got some sweet potato fries.

It was so good and filling, but of course I had to top off my day of nonstop eating with a Chipwich when I got back to my apartment…

Ugh. I was in the “it’s Sunday, I don’t have anything to do besides eat” mindset. Not good. So instead of moping around, regretting yesterday’s (and pretty much this entire past week’s) decisions, I am making a plan to get out of this unhealthy streak. Here are my fitness goals for this week:

  1. Plan my food for each day the night before, and STICK TO THE PLAN! (This is a new thing I’m going to try to avoid mindlessly snacking and overeating!)
  2. Exercise at least six days this week, and push myself during workouts.
  3. Drink at least 12 cups of water each day.
  4. Walk at least 10,000 iPhone steps each day.
  5. Keep a positive mindset and take one day at a time!

Can’t wait for a new week and a fresh start! Ready to detox and crush these goals and feel amazing come next Monday. Hope you guys have a great day!

For those of you with a dog – does he/she actually play fetch?

Tell me one or two of your goals for the week!

Some Monday Goals and a GOLDEN RETRIEVER!!

Happy Monday peeps!!! I hope you had the best weekend, and for those of you going back to work today… stinks to be you ๐Ÿ˜‰ . Just kidding, I hope you have a productive day!

Yesterday was the best Sunday. I woke up around 6:00 (I tried to sleep in a little later but was stressing over some wedding planning-related things, haha) so I went on a nice, long walk and listened to “The Disaster Artist”. Boston’s starting to look fall-ish, but it was still too hot out to get the full autumn experience.

I picked up coffee for myself and Frankie and drank that with a Greek pumpkin yogurt for breakfast. This was my first time trying this yogurt and it was SOOO GOOD!!!! The perfect amount of pumpkin flavor and so creamy and filling.

Then Frankie and I walked through the rain to my sister’s spin class. The theme of today’s class was “Nelly, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Flo Rida”. It was lots of fun and a great sweat.

When I got home I showered, did a face mask, did some laundry, and made a big salad with spring mix, baby carrots, grape tomatoes, half an avocado, and a light Italian dressing.

Around 2:00 we left to pick up my sis and her boyfriend and go to my mom’s house in the suburbs to chill with my mom and her boyfriend! We did some wedding planning, watched TV, did some wine tastings, and took this little pup on a walk.

I snacked on a Chocolate Brownie Quest Bar when I got hungry.

For dinner we drove to an amazing nearby sushi restaurant and met up with my jolly godfather ๐Ÿ™‚ . I got miso soup, and Frankie and I split cucumber, avocado, and shiitake rolls.

Then we drove home and headed straight to bed. Such a lovely Sunday!

I’m excited for a new week and some new goals, including eating as cleanly as possible (and only when I’m hungry… no mindless snacking!!) and working out at least six days and really pushing myself!

I’m so excited to have today off from work – I’m going to an early Barry’s Bootcamp class and then hopefully deep cleaning the apartment and doing more wedding planning. I hope you guys have a great start to your week!!

P.S. Guess what guys… there are now Snickers Protein bars!! So now I can’t feel as bad about having a Snickers as my pre-workout ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

Would you try a Snickers Protein bar?!

Tell me one or two of your goals for this week!

Getting Back on Track!!

Hi friends! Happy Monday! I hope you guys all had a fun, relaxing fall weekend. I had so much fun in New Hampshire but now it’s back to the grind…

Frankie and I slept in until around 9:00 yesterday morning which felt amazing. It also felt amazing to wake up on the top of a mountain to the sounds of birds chirping. We ate freshly-baked ginger lemon scones for breakfast and sipped on some strong, delicious coffee.

Then the four of us (me, Frankie, and the couple we were staying with) left for a hike. It was about an hour long and it felt like fall outside!! High 50’s with lots of foliage ๐Ÿ™‚ .

We worked up quite a sweat on our hike, so by the time we got back to the cabin we were all starving. We had some of the leftover pumpkin pasta that we had for dinner the night before.

And then we all packed up and headed back to Boston ๐Ÿ˜ฆ . We were so sad to leave. But it was such a fun, relaxing getaway! We grabbed some Dunkin pumpkin coffees on our way back.

We got back around 3:30 and I unpacked a bit, showered, and snacked on a super crisp apple.

Then I headed to work event – I’m running our design team’s booth at a customer event. Last night was just a reception, but today and tomorrow are going to be 12-hour days!! Luckily it’s at a hotel in Boston, so I don’t have far to travel ๐Ÿ˜‰ . I had a Chocolate Banana Bread No Cow Bar while setting up our booth.

And I had a couple of the apps passed around at the event (and made some pasta when I got home). The event went really well and I’m ready for today and tomorrow!

I feel like I’ve been in kind of a clean eating/exercise funk since going to NYC last weekend. Indulgent weekends away often throw me off, but I should be able to get back on track come Monday, which unfortunately didn’t happen for me last week. So, I’m going to focus and try really hard this week to get back on track! I’ll be posting every single thing I eat and all of my workouts on here to keep myself accountable ๐Ÿ™‚ . Monday let’s go!!

Hope you have a great start to your week!

What do you do when you are in an eating/exercise funk?

Do you like hiking? Any plans to go hiking this fall?!

Friday Favorites #4!

Hi friends! Happy, happy Friday! I am SO glad that this week is over (it was a rough one for me) and I’m ready for the weekend. Let’s start out with some Friday Favorites from the week…

1. RUNNING!!ย I went for my first run in three months on Monday, and it felt incredible! I’ve missed the feeling of just walking out my door and running wherever I want while zoning out/listening to music. I am going to take things easy getting back into it (one or two 3-5 mile runs a week), but I am so happy to be back out there!

2. Dunkin’ Donuts Pumpkin Spice Syrup. I’ve been getting one pump of this in my morning coffee and it makes me soooo happy that it’s finally fall! I love pumpkin anything and just one pump of this syrup makes my coffee amazing, and it’s only about 50 calories. So worth it.

3. My J.Crew Factory “wool sidewalk skirt”. I have this skirt in black and gray and I wear one of them at least once a week. They are so cute, fit perfectly, and are really comfy. I’ll probably get another one for fall… maybe the cabernet color?? (They look super cute with black tights!)

Screen Shot 2017-09-28 at 3.21.56 PM

4. Having seltzer next to me on my desk. I’ve been struggling with a bit of mindless/stress-induced snacking, but I find that having a yummy flavor of seltzer water next to me helps out a lot! Having something a bit more “special” and filling than plain water has helped me to avoid reaching for the trail mix after lunch.

5. “This is Us” being back!ย I know I’ve mentioned this in previous posts, but boy am I excited for “This is Us” to be back! Makes Tuesday nights the best nights, in my opinion ๐Ÿ˜‰ . For those of you who don’t watch, catch up on season one so we can talk about season two!!

Yay for Friday. Now let’s take it back to my day yesterday… I woke up literally one minute before my alarm was supposed to go off (why does this always happen to me?) and headed to a Flywheel spin class. Both Frankie and I felt so much better yesterday than the day before – woohoo! We’re on the mend.

Flywheel was tons of fun and a great sweat, as usual. After class I showered at the studio and headed straight to work. I picked up some Dunks pumpkin coffee on my way in, and had that with some GOLEAN cereal and a little coconut milk.

At 11:00 I got a flu shot… OUCH! I hate shots. But it really wasn’t too bad. I love that my office brings flu shots to us – makes it so convenient!

For lunch I grabbed a “Vegetarian Deluxe” salad from Au Bon Pain, with romaine and field greens, roasted peppers, kalamata olives, feta, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, chickpeas, and red onions. I didn’t even need a dressing! If you haven’t noticed… yes, I’ve been buying lunch every day and I’m not proud of it. We just never got a chance to grocery shop for the week with our NYC trip and everything. BUT this is not gonna happen next week!!

I had a productive afternoon at the office, and snacked on a Chocolate Peanut Butter Questie when I got hungry, around 4:00.

Then I left work to head to a 5:30 hip hop yoga class! It was so much fun and such a great workout/stretch. My left arm felt super sore in my first downward dog and I couldn’t figure out why… Oh yeah, my flu shot ๐Ÿ˜‰ . I love the sign outside the studio.

And here’s the beautiful studio. I absolutely love this space (can I get married here ๐Ÿ˜‰ ).

I decided to walk home from yoga because it was such a beautiful day in Boston – finally not sweltering and humid! When I got home I cracked open a Cayennade booch.

And I made a very simple dinner: a sweet potato, some brussels sprouts, and mushrooms with some lentils on the side.

I was craving something sweet so I made Quest Bar cookies! AKA I cut up a Quest Bar and baked it in the oven at 325 for three minutes, then flattened each piece down a little with a spatula and baked for another three minutes. They seriously taste like warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies!

Frankie went to see another wedding venue near his work while I was at yoga. He loved it and this makes our decision even more difficult! When he got home, we snacked on some of those cookies while watching Comedy Central.

I’m so excited to finally pick a venue and have a DATE SET! Hopefully we’ll know our wedding date by the end of the weekend. Then, I want to make some specific goals to achieve before the wedding ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Have the best Friday ever, and see you tomorrow morning!

Do you ever wake up a minute before your alarm is set to go off?

Another question about sleep timing that I’ve been thinking about lately – do you go to bed/wake up at the same time every day? I hear this is good for you, but I have yet to accomplish it…

NYC Weekend and My Goals for This Week!

Good morning and happy Monday friends! I apologize for a post-less day yesterday and for this one being a little bit late, but my weekend was crazy! Here’s to a fresh new week with fresh new goals ๐Ÿ™‚ .

So Saturday I woke up and went to a Soulcycle “Survivor” (one-hour) class! The studio was so much bigger than the ones in Boston, and everyone was so into the class – I loved it.

I picked up my first PUMPKIN coffee of the season on my walk back to the hotel. I get a medium Dunkin iced coffee with one pump of pumpkin syrup and skim milk. YUM!

Then I went back to the hotel, showered, and headed out to brunch. Frankie and I met his sister and her boyfriend at a mediterranean restaurant in Brooklyn, where they live. It was great to catch up with them and the food was unbelievable. We all split the mezze platter with this delicious garlicy flatbread, hummus, tahini, olives, pickles, tabouleh, onions, beets, potatoes, watermelon, etc…

The walk back to the subway was beautiful…

We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing at the hotel. I snacked on a Blueberry Cobbler No Cow Bar and some nuts to hold me over until the wedding dinner.

Then we started getting ready for the wedding! It was a black tie event so Frankie needed some time to get into his tux ๐Ÿ˜‰ . There was a cocktail reception at 5:30, then came the ceremony, then another cocktail reception, and then the dinner/dancing! It was the most beautiful and fancy event I have ever been to. And it was so exciting seeing two of our friends tie the knot!

The dinner was delicious – we started with caesar salads and my main course was a vegetable pasta dish.

Look at this adorable dessert tray! Sadly I didn’t try the cake – major regrets.

There was a photo booth that Frankie and I frequented several times. Definitely need to have one of these at our wedding.

It was such a great night. We didn’t get home until around 2:00 am and went straight to sleep.

Now for my Sunday! We slept in a bit and then headed to our favorite NYC brunch spot – The Smith. We started our brunch with some bloody marys.

And then we ordered so much food. We were starving and a little hungover, so we started with some shishito peppers and mac n cheese (they’re known for this).

As my main (not that I needed any more food), I got the truffled local mushroom toast – ciabatta, fontina cheese, sunny up egg, and Frankie got the ranchero scramble. Too. Good.

img_3975.jpgAnd then we just had to get some donuts on top of that… I can’t believe I didn’t take any pictures (I was probably just too excited to eat them) but we went to our fav donut place in NYC. And I also got a matcha latte with coconut milk.

Frankie’s judging.

Then we went to see a movie, because we had to check out of our hotel and our bus wasn’t leaving until 4:00… and the only movie that worked with our timing was LEGO Ninjago… let’s just say I slept the entire time.

After the movie we picked up our bags and headed to the party bus. We rented a bus with some other wedding attendees who live in Boston, and we spent the five-hour ride talking, napping, and eating more snacks. I was so ready to go home ๐Ÿ™‚ .

It was a wonderful weekend in NYC, but as you can see we indulged like crazy. I’m excited to get back into my routine and healthy habits again. Here are my goals for this week:

  1. Eat completely clean! Even on the weekend!
  2. Drink 12 cups of water a day.
  3. Exercise at least six days this week.
  4. Walk at least 10,000 iPhone steps a day.
  5. Get 6-8 hours of sleep a night.
  6. Stay positive ๐Ÿ™‚ .

I hope you guys have a great start to your week!! See you tomorrow.

Have you had any fall- or pumpkin-flavored things yet, or are you waiting until it gets cooler out?

What are one or two of your goals for this week??

Juice Cleanse Day 3 and PUMPKINS!

Happy Monday friends! Who else is pumped for a new week?? I’m so excited to finally be done with this juice cleanse and to eat food again!

Yesterday my fiance and I woke up around 7:00 and drove to my mom’s house in the suburbs. My mom and I did a 9:00 am hot yoga class then picked up some coffee! I love the studio in her neighborhood – it’s a pretty small room but I love the paintings of yoga poses on the walls.

My mom, Frankie, and I spent the rest of the morning drinking coffee, talking about our recent vacas (she was just in Jackson Hole, Wyoming!), and doing some wedding chatting/planning. Best Sunday morning ever ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Frankie and I left around 12:00 to see another potential wedding venue – a “castle” outside of Boston with the most beautiful architecture and decor. Another fav… AH! My goal is to decide on a venue by the end of September.

We stopped by Trader Joe’s on our way home (duh) and did our grocery shopping for the week. It sure was tough being in Trader Joe’s on the third day of a juice cleanse, but we somehow survived. Plus I bought three little pumpkins for our apartment ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

And somehow it was only 1:30 pm by the time we got back to our place. I felt like we had a full day already! I chilled for a while – I showered, applied a face mask, and did some laundry. Then I headed out again to grab David’s Tea “Blueberry Muffin” iced tea, do a little shopping at LOFT (I bought this dress and this shirt – both on sale!), get a mani/pedi, and run a couple more random errands (like buying Whole Foods cupcakes for my coworker… I wanted one SO badly!!).

OPI’s “Big Apple Red” is my all-time favorite fall polish.

Later in the evening my fiance and I started watching the Netflix series “Atypical”, and of course I fell asleep 15 minutes into it. So no review yet.

I can’t wait to eat food again today! I’ll give you guys a little recap of the cleanse and talk about how I feel in tomorrow’s post.

Here are my health/fitness goals for this week:

  1. Keep up the clean eating! I’ve eaten perfectly clean since last Sunday (September 10th) and I don’t plan to break this streak anytime soon!
  2. Workout at least six days this week.
  3. Walk 10,000+ iPhone steps a day (my foot is feeling much better!).
  4. Drink 12 cups of water a day.
  5. Sleep at least seven hours a night.

I hope you guys have the best Monday and start to your week!! See you tomorrow.

What’s your favorite clothing store?ย I think mine is Zara but I love LOFT and Banana Republic for work clothes!

What are one or two of your goals for this week??

I’m Back!! With Some BIG News!!

Hello friends!!! I’m back in the US and I’ve missed you guys/blogging a whole lot!!

Of course I want to tell you a bit about my Spain trip, but I won’t go on for too long ๐Ÿ˜‰ . I’ll start by telling you the #1 part of my trip…

I’M ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frankie proposed to me on September 3rd on the balcony of our Airbnb in Ronda, Spain. Here was the view.

I am beyond happy to be engaged to the love of my life! Let the wedding planning commence ๐Ÿ˜ฎ .

Back to the start of our trip… We began in Seville for my friend’s wedding. I met up with a group of my best college friends and we all stayed at an Airbnb together. Seville was beautiful but SO HOT. We had lots of amazing food…

And my friend’s wedding was the most beautiful wedding/event I have ever been to. The ceremony was in a church and then we took a shuttle to this incredible, remote venue.

We ate more delicious food and danced until 3:00 am! It was such a great time.

Then Frankie and I parted with the group and took a bus to Ronda (where he proposed)! Ronda was the cutest little town I’ve ever been to, centered around a beautiful bridge (pictured above) and lots of cute tapas places.

We got the best vegetarian paella.

And had some good setups on our balcony ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Our next stop was Malaga. Frankie studied abroad there in college, so it was easy to get around and feel less like tourists. Lots of shopping, hundreds of tapas restaurants, gelato shops, and the shiniest, cleanest streets (they clean them every morning at 6 am!). This was our Airbnb’s nightly deck setup ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

Here are some more food highlights…

And we stopped by the market in the center of town. SO YUMMY! I was in heaven. I’ve never eaten so many olives in my life.

And we flew back on Saturday! By the time we got back I was really missing home and was ready to get back into my routine. I indulged more than ever on this trip, but didn’t regret a second of it. It was seriously the most amazing food and wine and I had the best time with my friends and now-fiance ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Now let’s chat a bit about my Sunday back in Boston! I woke up super early because of jet lag (which I’m not complaining about) so I unpacked a bit and then headed to my sister’s spin class with Frankie. It felt sooo good to push myself and sweat a ton – I feel like I hadn’t done that in forever (we did some hikes and lots of walking in Spain, but nothing crazy).

After spin we showered and got ready to see one of our potential wedding venues! We want to pick a place as soon as possible so we can get one of our preferred dates next year. We picked up some Starbucks on our way. I sure missed American coffee with almond milk.

And I snacked on a Dark Raspberry Truffle No Cow Bar in the car for breakfast.

We loved the venue! But we can’t fall in love with it too much yet because we have many more to see ๐Ÿ™‚ . We stopped by Trader Joe’s for LOTS of grocery shopping on our way home. Of course I had to crack open a Cayennade booch before we even left the store (this flavor is soo good and has quite the kick).

And when we got home I made a big, simple salad: baby spinach, the ripest tomatoes, carrots, and light Italian dressing. In a mixing bowl because it was too big for a regular one ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

And then I went to a waterfront yoga class with my sis! It was so nice to do some yoga after such a long break from it. And it was nice and chilly in Boston, so the class was refreshing and the perfect way to kick off a new week!

When I got home I cooked up a big stir fry with peppers, onions, mushrooms, carrots, bok choy, broccoli, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, snow peas, sugar snap peas, baby corn, and sriracha tofu. It truly hit the spot.

And I spent the rest of the night sipping on peppermint tea and watching “Shark Tank” with Frankie. I still need to unpack… oops.

SO it’s been quite the past couple of weeks, but I am so happy to be back home and back into my routine. As I said, I had the most indulgent vacation and I need to get back into being healthy! My fiance and I are planning on eating super healthily and plant-based this week, and may challenge ourselves to a three-day juice cleanse this weekend (not to lose weight, but for more of a mental reset). My friend in Seville convinced us ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

Here’s to having the healthiest week ever! Hope you guys have a great Monday.

What are one or two of your goals for this week?

If you’ve had a wedding – how did you plan it?! Did you get super stressed?

Sooo Much Food… Time for a New Week!!

Hey guys! Happy Monday – new week yay!

I’m totally ready for a new week, and finally the week has come when I leave for Spain!! We leave Wednesday night. I haven’t decided if I will be blogging during the trip or not, but I’ll definitely write about the trip/share lots of photos at some point.

I decided to take a rest day yesterday, so I woke up, showered, and my boyfriend and I headed to a foster children’s back-to-school party. We signed up to volunteer at the event with my mom, sister, and sister’s bf! We played horse shoes and corn hole, and made origami and bracelets with the kids. It was fun but got pretty tiring after a couple of hours. I drank another Core water on our drive over (I loooove these)!

And Panera catered the event so I had the Mediterranean veggie sandwich with a pickle and lots of watermelon.

And I had two of these oatmeal raisin cookies. Oops. But they were sooo good.

My bf and I left around 1:00 and relaxed for a couple of hours/snacked a little too much. I also picked up a bubble tea.

And we watched a couple of “Friends” eps. Around 4:30 we headed to a family dinner party. We spent the evening chatting, drinking wine, and eating outside on the deck. The apps table was absolutely delicious – bread, fruit, cheese, crackers, yogurt dip, hummus, etc. etc. I am currently obsessed with figs.

And dinner was incredible. We had Persian food! I don’t know what the meals are called but everything was incredible and so flavorfully-spiced. I need to learn these recipes.

We also had chocolate cake and lots of fruit for dessert, along with some delicious apple cinnamon tea. I was SO full at the end of the day.

I’m ready for a super healthy and productive week. My goal for Monday through Wednesday is to detox out the weekend through some sweaty workouts, clean eats, tons of water, and a positive mindset! And then it’s Spain time, baby!

I hope you have an amazing Monday and start to your week. See you tomorrow!

What are some of your goals for this week?!

Do you like bubble tea?

The Laziest Sunday EVER and This Week’s Goals!

Hi guys, happy Monday! I’m excited for a new week.

I woke up slightly hungover yesterday, so I spent the morning taking it easy and hanging out with the bf. We were starving so we went to our favorite coffee spot and picked up breakfast sandwiches. This is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had – a plain bagel with rosemary potato eggs, cheddar cheese, and spinach.

We seriously had the laziest day ever. We spent the rest of the day watching a hundred Friends episodes. We took a break to bake some vegan chocolate chip cookies – super easy and I had all the ingredients. I’m bringing these to work so I’m not tempted by them at my apartment!

Later on we went to Whole Foods to pick up snacks (I got some pineapple) and ingredients for dinner – our day literally revolved around food, haha.

We got ingredients to make a Greek salad – cucumbers, super ripe tomatoes, red onion, feta, and kalamata olives. We made a simple dressing with olive oil, lemon juice, and dried oregano. We also got some pita bread and tzatziki. Such a yummy din!

We were so lazy that we didn’t even go to our friends apartment to watch GoT (we go every Sunday). We decided to pick up some ice cream and watch at our place instead – I forgot to take a pic because I was too excited to eat it ๐Ÿ˜‰ .

Such a relaxing, lazy, indulgent Sunday over here… I hope you guys had a great day and weekend! I gotta get back on track with my eating/workouts, so here are my goals for the upcoming week:

  1. Eat clean, healthy foods and do not overeat! No mindless snacking!
  2. Drink 12 cups of water a day.
  3. Exercise at least six days of the week.
  4. Walk 10,000 steps a day.
  5. Get at least seven hours of sleep a night.
  6. Don’t weigh myself until Friday.
  7. Be super productive at work!
  8. Keep a positive mindset ๐Ÿ™‚ .

Hope you guys have a great Monday and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Do you usually make your own salad dressing or buy a bottle?ย

Tell me one or two of your goals for the week!
